Today is the merdeka eve. Everyone of us is exited because our school, HBP is honour being invited to be involve in the merdeka celebration activity at Penang Times Square. Malaysia is now celebrating 52th years of independent. Before this day arrived, we have done lot of preparations like doing rehearsal how to release the helium balloons. And now we are at the Penang Times Square waiting the arrival of the Merdeka day.

Our project 5a is about HBP Balloonmen. In this task, we have to form a group of five people. Then, we need to design custom for our group by using the sarong and the mask that we have done previously in project 2c. We have to present our group custom in the custom parade which will be held on Friday 28 August. The best outfit group will be selected to be the celebrity group which will release the balloons at the Penang Times Square fountain.

Merdeka Installation

Our assignment is to form a group of five and to design a way to put balloons. HBP is the partner of Youth Jam and we all are involved in a Merdeka Celebration Event which will be carry out in Penang Times Square on 30th August 2009 at 11.59pm . Our country has achieved independent for 52th years. This Merdeka celebration event is conducted by a group of youth and the leader is named Jazz who is the student from KDU. The design of releasing balloons at Times Square is won by a group which consists of five girls. Although their design is simple, it still the most creative way of releasing the balloons. Then, at the same time, there is another group which also won for their design of dropping the balloons. This means that there two groups which won at this balloon design competition.One is the releasing team and the other is the dropping team. However, the rest of the teams will be involved in the celebration as well.
