Second Assignment For Integrated Studio

Today, we have to draw a map to guide a friend who never go our house before. Inside the map, we must have a least five landmarks in our hometown. My hometown is Taiping which is a small in Perak. Taiping is also called the rain town because of frequent rainfall. I draw more than five landmark in the map. After that we are given a second assignment that to draw a natural structures like tree, grass, stone, mountain and animals by using dots and lines. At that particular moment, I really have no idea what to draw. So i decide to take photograghs of tree and stone. Finally, I get some inspiration through the pictures that I have took. I decide to draw a big tree. Firstly, I draw the shape of the tree and then fill the tree with dots and lines.

MY ORENTATION WEEK IN MY FACULTY

The First Day,9 July 2009

After one week university orentation, today is first faculty orentation week. Our first activity is to play sports. The purpose of having this activity is for us to get to know our lecturers and seniors so that we able to ask them any questions. However, I do not take part in any of the sports because non of them are my expert and additionally only for people who know how to play well. Although I do not participate, I still went there to give them supports. The game that i watched is futsal. Futsal is actually mini size of soccer,we play football in a small court with 5 players for each team. All of them enjoy the game very much although they seem very tired. Besides, I also meet one of the senior which I knew during I at the bowling station last weekend.

The Second day, 10 July 2009

Second day of the the HBP orientation week, there is an open ceremory for the orientation week. We are glad the our faculty"s Dean manage to appear him at E48B to declare that the orientation week starts. After that,we have ice-breaking among our group. My group facilitator is nina and she is an interior design second year student. Besides, I feel very happy because I meet with some new friends. At night, we have a quite interesting event that is we have to create a piece of art work with some hard paper. During this event, we all have to work in group to finish the art work in one hour. Furthermore, we also need to figure cheer for group n we all have to present our art work as well as our cheer to everyone. The art work that we did actually is a cannon shape structure which accompany by some torns which symbolises the challenges that we face during the journey to success. However, our group do not give good comments from the seniors, we feel proud because our group representative who is from Thailand present the idea of our art work in Malay language.

The Third Day,11 July 2009

The first activity we have to do in the third day of the orientation week is to create gadget which can protect an egg from being broken when it is drop from a tall building. First of all, we have to figure out a thing that can prevent the egg from broken. After some discussion, we decide to do a box which made from straw. During this activity, we devide our work equally to everyone. For me, I have to make a basket according to the size of the egg. After that, we all make a parachute to the box so that to increase the air resistance and to reduce the impulsive force of the box when fall from a tall buildings. After 3 hours of hard work, we finally finish our gadget on time. Unfortunately, there is a group which not manage to submit on time, so that they will be punished after all the groups tested their model. Now is the time for us to test our model.My group is the second group the present, one of our group member will be the representative to release our model from the third floor. Althought our device falls very fast to the ground, the egg inside it does not break because of the protective layers we insert in the device. At night, we have a small explore race. However, because of the weather condition ,this activity is being delayed. Ater about 30 minutes ,the rain finally become small and the games starts. w have a great time during this game.

The Forth Day , 12 July 2009

Today is the last of the orientation week with my faculty. We are told that we have to do performent tonight during the grand dinner. Each of the groups are given one topic. There are four topics and my group get the changes in the era of the music industry from the 60th to 90th. Hence, each member from us have to discuss what to perform at night. After some discussion, we all come to an aggreement that we sing different languages song since our consist of different races.We all have a great time during our rehearsal. Finally, the grand dinner starts. The first group to perform is the group which get the same theme with our group. Their idea of performing the theme is really creative because they perform by the act like they are infront of a jukebox which consist of different decade songs. As for my group , we all do all best during performing althought we face a little problem like losing the lyrics of the song. However, the whole still consider as a joyful orinetation week.

Existence

Existence, from the dictionary means something that being there or occur at that. Existence,existence,existence, why do we exist? Do you this word come across you mind? Have you wonder why natural structures like rock, mountain, sea and plants exist? As for me, I do wonder that may be all these things are the products from our God. Human beings exist in this world is not coincident but is with a reason which most of us still searching for the reason My lecturer, Mr Wan, mention about a statement stated by a well-known people which is Cogito, ergo sum( I think, therefore I am).This quote means that if a person wants to produce something, he must inculcate the three important elements in himself which are intention ,actor and product.

My First Assignment In University

First lecture class in university, in my

thought,surpose be memorable.However, shocking news

received, assignment has given. This lecture class is

called the Intergrated Studio and my first assignment

is to have my own webpage. Haiz,for me, msn, friendster

and the recent one facebook I also never play before.But no matter

how, everyone also have first time, I will try my best

to get it done.

My Studio Lecturer

My Integrated Studio lecturer is a fun person. During

his class, we will never feel boring. He give a small

introduction to this RUS 101 which also known as

Integrated Studio , so that we get familiar to this

course. Besides, he say that there are 6 important

steps used in doing everything and they are

intention,act,product,actor,rules as well as site.

Before doing anything for example a project, intention

is the root of everything. Having intention is

important for everyone especially for architect. For

instance, architect need to follow what their clients

want and blend with some of their own ideas to design a

building that make their clients feel satisfied.In all

these process,intention is desperately needed.Definitely,

having intention is no enough,we have to act. For

example, a person have intention to improve his or her

language proficiency, if he or she never take out

efforts to do exercises, surely he or she will never

have improvement.

One's achievement is depended on how much effort does

he or she put.Hence, people who do his or her work with

all heart in will definite get great result. Of course,

with all kind of intention,without an actor is

incomplete. Thus, an actor plays a vital role in all

the process. For example, a movie with great setting but

does not have actor or actress will never become a good

movie. Meanwhile, before processing a product, we must

first consider all the rules that have been set so that

we do not go against it. Finally, we need to find a

site that is suitable for displaying the product.
